Scrum people are awesome

I usually write about professional agile topics. Today, I want to say something a little different: Scrum people are awesome.

Recently I took and passed the Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II) exam. When I got my results, I posted them on Linkedin, like I usually do when I have some professional accomplishment I want to share, and added a few agile-related hashtags like I always do.

I have done this before with other certifications that I’ve received, and I assumed that I would get a handful of people in my network who “liked” my post and that will be that. I was totally unprepared for what happened next: Almost a thousand people viewed my post, and five days later I am still getting people congratulating me. Totally amazing.

And the thing is, the vast, vast majority of the people who liked and commented on my post are total strangers. There are people all over the world who took the time to write encouraging messages to me for no other reason than that they are Scrum people, and we’re all part of the same community.

That’s awesome. Being a part of such a supportive and warm community feels really really good, and I wanted to take a moment to say that. I’ll be back next week with more posts about agile mindset, remote agile, and so on.

Until then, Scrum on.

P.s.

All you Kanban people out there, I see you! You’re awesome too 🙂
